Bit of an update, last few weeks I’ve dropped the motor out, installed the whiteline front sway bar and started the cam install.
Also started prepping the bigger brakes for paint
Found this chunk of alloy sitting near the lifter bucket of the drivers side head… which raised some alarm bells.
But soon found the culprit, probably been under that baffle for ages and came loose recently. Replace that valve cover and happy days, rest of the motor looks perfect. This was from me over tightening a bolt when bolting on the coil covers.

Now to wait for my next shipment of parts from the US, lifters and a few other bits coming in that then the motor can be re-assembled.
